Crimson Jitterbug "C.J."
This is my very special baby. C.J. was found laying on the side of the road on Halloween morning. When she was seen laying in the gutter by a woman who was driving by she thought that she was dead but then saw her hind legs twitch. The woman stopped her car and picked her up. She then drove her to a near by hospital. The woman already had two cats and didn't want another but couldn't leave her to die on the side of the road. (Thank God) After an exam it was determined that she wasn't hit by a car, she didn't have any physical injuries. Although there were no broken bones she was very close to death. She was neurologic, blind , her hind end was rigid and she had no control of her body. She was then quarantined as a rabies suspect. The hospital then discussed euthanasia and rabies testing. On her 3rd day in the hospital she had a seizure. C.J. was still a baby only 5-6 months old and so sick she could barely lift her head. She needed someone to love her and save her & I was it. I assumed ownership. It turned out she had been poisoned and after 1 week in the hospital I brought her home. After a very long recovery, it took over a week before she could use the litter box and about 1 month before I saw her walk. But now she runs and plays and you would never know what she went through. I am so happy she came into our lives, she is such a sweet, loving little girl and just watching her now brings me joy.
